Classification and Application Industries of Agricultural Motors
1. Classification of agricultural motors
(I) Classification by current type
DC motor
Features: good speed regulation performance, large starting torque, but complex structure and high maintenance cost.
AC motor
Features: simple structure, reliable operation, easy maintenance, and is the mainstream choice in the agricultural field.
Asynchronous motor :
Three-phase asynchronous motor: high power, high efficiency, suitable for large agricultural machinery.
Single-phase asynchronous motor: low power, often used in household or small farm equipment.
Synchronous motor: stable speed, suitable for scenes with high speed accuracy requirements, such as grain processing equipment.
(II) Classification by motor speed
High-speed motor: usually with a speed of more than 1000 rpm, used for crushers, fans, etc.
Low-speed motor: low speed, high torque, suitable for conveyor belts, mixers, etc.
(III) Classification by energy efficiency level
High-efficiency motors such as IE1, IE2, and IE3 are gradually promoted in agriculture to reduce energy consumption.
II. Application of agricultural motors
(I) Farmland cultivation and planting
Tractor drive: three-phase asynchronous motors or DC motors drive tractors to move and farm implements to operate.
Seeder: small DC motors control the seeding amount and seeding speed to ensure uniform seeding.
Ploughing machinery: such as rotary tillers and plows, which are driven by high-power AC motors to drive blades or plowshares.
(II) Irrigation and drainage
Water pump system:
Solar DC water pumps: use solar energy to power remote areas, suitable for farmland without grid coverage.
Sprinkler and drip irrigation equipment: motors drive water pumps to pressurize, and precise irrigation is achieved through pipes and nozzles.
(III) Agricultural product processing
Grain processing:
Thresher, rice mill, mill: asynchronous motor drives the roller or grinding disc to process rice, wheat, etc.
Oil press: high-power motor drives the spiral oil pressing part to extract vegetable oil.
Fruit and vegetable processing: washing machine, slicer, juicer, etc. are driven by motor to drive the conveyor belt or cutting parts.
(IV) Animal husbandry
Feed processing: grinder, mixer, pellet machine are driven by motor to process feed raw materials into pellets.
Farm equipment:
Ventilator: AC motor drives the fan to keep the air circulating in the livestock house.
Feeder, milking machine: motor controls the automatic operation of the conveyor belt or milking device.
Temperature control equipment: motor drives the heating or cooling system to adjust the temperature of the livestock house.
(V) Greenhouse and facility agricultureEnvironmental control:
Roller, sunshade net motor: DC or AC motor controls the lifting and lowering of greenhouse insulation curtains and sunshade nets.
Fan and wet curtain motor: adjust the temperature and humidity in the greenhouse.
Automation equipment: integrated irrigation and fertilization machine, CO₂ generator motor, to achieve precise control.
